I’m not the only one creating ( his new favourite place is perched up next to me on my table, helping me use my guaranteed hour)

Always the artist

No cats or fish ( borrowed off in laws) were harmed in the photo taking, children definitely not harmed because I never ever would hear the end of it!!

Life is just plain wonderful

Joshua ( though maybe permanently stained blue from a paint skirmish party he attended this afternoon) is a great kid who gives me no ounces of trouble even though he is nine and a pre – teen. I have no hesitation in trusting him at all.

Tyler who can some times occasionally give me ounces of trouble, is still remarkably good for a three year old and has made the transition of moving to his own bed wonderfully and went to sleep with out any hassle tonight. He brings me flowers and gives me kisses, and is just plain cute.

Rod, my poor man, who tries hard to be perfect, dealt with the bed times and teeth brushing so I could watch the series final of packed to the rafters and ignored my suggestion of taking a peachie with him to work, because he knew I would like one latter today.

Kooka Belly who even though is very uncomfortable ( 35 weeks!!), is the gift of a third son, who after 2 years of trying i thought I couldn’t have.

My Mumma who is landing about now from France – with a copy of Maree Clair Ideas for me. My wonderful supportive Aunt deb has gone to get her

and I have great friends and terrific family out there, including my wonderful Dad and brother Davy, who I don’t get to see enough of, that are a tremendous support.

Plus even though I lack chocolate and more Peachie, I have books from the library so am no longer starving for something to read. and I had my kid free day today with my writing class.

Why is your life sometimes perfect?

My Self ( now back to being brunette), My Mumma ( who now lives in France), My sister ( who now lives in London)

a billion years ago at Joshies 5th birthday.

We took Tyler to feed the duckies, today and I had a play with my camera ( Josh was at his fathers again – normally every second weekend, but there has been a few things on, on his fathers side – we have a very liberal verbal agreement.)

Im doing this free online photography course as part of a group I found via EB, being held on Flickr.

This is the course

this is the group

and these are my first 2 assignments ( given at the end of lesson one)

Assignment 1 – One abstract Photo based entirely on some of the composition rules. Subject should not be recognisable.  There was one duck just facing away from us wagging his backside, just like a dog, So thought I should try my luck.

Assignment 2 – pictures of a subject from various view points, post best 2 or 3.

The only thing Im not happy about is the day was very overcast and I wished for better natural light. actually I think the photos look sharper over at Flickr as well?!?

And this I just couldn’t resist of my silly boy, who when over hearing me mention that I wanted to make a pie for this weeks baking, suggest a underpants pie. Toilet talk reins supreme here.

and my Flickr page if anyone is interested. First time I’ve used Flickr. So not much there, every thing else is held in my photobucket account.

No crafting to show for the last few days as I have been crashing very early.

PS We got our first real Halloween “trick or treaters” last night ( Australia does not do Halloween much to Joshua’s disgust!), and ran out of lollies (lollies = candies for non Aussies, a bag of Red Skins to be exact). Very cute little patches of children came most dressed up and no scary teenagers ( the only other ones we have ever had was 2 scary teenagers – non dressed up a few years ago), very glad I stopped to get a bag just in case, next year might take the boys up the street and grab and extra bag. The only downside the ones that came at 10 to 9!!!!! and scared me half to death as I was nodding off on the couch!

He is so cute. Tyler playing Daddies Drum Stix, shortly after he kicked daddy off to play the guitar so they could “jam”.

Joshie wasn’t able to Jam as he was at his Dads getting ready for the Convoy for kids.

My baby is now 3. That seems so big. How , why? We had a red party for his birthday. I spent ages finding just red things and streamered the whole dining room. His lil eyes lit up, before he saw his cousin and then I didn’t see him the rest of the party.

In Tyler’s words he is now 8, everyone is 8. there are exactly two numbers in my speech delayed little boys repertoire 1 and 8, if its more then one its 8. I’m not quite sure I want to be 8 again. As Joshie says its so hard being 8, I make him do so many things. Thank god nine is nearly here hopefully it will be easier on him!

School holidays are almost upon us. My writing class has finished for the term and my art class ended early due to loss of my art teachers wife. So my weeks are longer again ( well it seems that way anyway!). I have been trying to work out a plan (well sort of a plan ) of what I want to do with the puddings these holidays. I’m finding it hard to find middle ground activities for the boys 2 different ages, Tyler gets bored very easy and Josh is ready for the more involved stuff. I think there will be lots of parks, painting, cooking and wrestling. I would like to do the zoo but think that depends on funds.

The only real thing I know for sure is Joshie wants to do an opp shop crawl ( he is defiantly my son!). His favourite thing to bag is Goosebumps books, which are getting harder to come by as he has almost all that were published.

Sydney siders – At Mrs Macquarie’s chair tomorrow there is a birdman type of event ( man made flying things jump off the edge to see who makes it the furthest! Go in our place. Barry has Josh this weekend and we both have birthday parties to attend. Joshie would of loved it!

Im off to do some sewing for my nephews birthday tomorrow (a chilli table runner andnapkins – mexican theme), then crawl into bed crochet a couple of rounds of the puff beret with bow ( not sure about that one) and some reading. The only way it could be better is if I had chocolate!

I was in such a feral mood today.
You know the Type – you want to kick puppies and smash plates ( but you don’t – well because you would have to clean it up and kicking puppies is not nice).
I tried to embroider – poked my self 5 times in 5 minutes, tried to knit – stuffed it so badly I frogged it. Tried to do some art home work, but Tyler kept putting his hand and foot on the page for me to trace. So just gave up and sulked.
Some of it had to do with being on the phone to virgin mobile three times and I still cant send the freakin pictures. I was trying to send some pictures to Shelli of the Easter eggs Josh, Tyler and I did.
The boys painted the moulds with coloured white choc ( it was only slightly warm definatly not hot), and then I later poured the choc in . It was a lot of easy fun, with very Fab results. That was our test batch so some we have given away. More will be done this week for Rod parents, and my Mumma if we are going to see her, if not I will wait till we see her next. I am thinking non Easter moulds would make a lovely birthday pres for some people. If I can find some lovely chocolate. I would like to get brave and try some with ………. Fillings.

I wrote this 2 days ago, before my computer decided to have a tantrum and refuse to work anymore that night.
But here are the photos.
Not to bad considering I didn’t do any set up and it went through 3 phones.

Oh and any Sydney siders. Josh and I went to the Australian Museum on Sunday for the dinosaurs, where in the guide book he discovered – nighttime Torch tours. He wants to go on one for his Birthday.

In da house! Half an hour was spent at my writting class before I had to come and resuce the beeb from his hiding place -under his nans bed. Poor lil sick boy.
So have been stuck on the couch watching bad kids telly. Luckily I got to go to the library for some books I had on reserve, before i got Tyler – bend the rules sewing and some knitting books. Books will keep me sane.
Still on the search for the right winter hat – I do love those 2 I posted about below and have started the puffy slouchy one – but it went of on a tangent. I think I would like a knitted beret – if I only I could find one that does not involve – DPNS!
